Please note that the opportunity to try an ILC idea is now closed.
We will give you feedback on your idea before applications open for Jurisdictional Based Grants (New South Wales, South Australia and Australian Capital Territory). This opportunity is separate from the process of applying for an ILC Jurisdictional Based Grant (NSW, SA and ACT).
This opportunity to try an ILC idea is open until 5.00pm AEDST, Friday 13 October 2017.
Who is this opportunity for?
If your organisation:
- has an idea for an activity that could help create positive and lasting change for people with disability and their communities,
- are not sure if the idea would fit with ILC funding, and
- could deliver the activity in either NSW, SA or ACT,
then this opportunity is for you.
Why is the NDIA providing this opportunity?
ILC is new for everyone. We want organisations and communities to have a chance to try out their idea for an ILC activity, before deciding whether or not to spend time applying for an ILC Jurisdictional Based Grant (NSW, SA and ACT).
This year, the NDIA funded the first ever round of ILC grants (external). Just over $14 million was awarded to 39 successful applicants to deliver ILC National Readiness activities across Australia. Up to $3 million was awarded to deliver ILC activities in the ACT.
By trying out an idea with the NDIA, you will get feedback on whether your idea is in scope for an ILC grant application.
Please note: You don’t have to participate in this opportunity to apply for an ILC grant. Participating in this opportunity does not impact on any ILC grant application your organisation may make. Any feedback you receive about your idea also has no impact on any grant application you may submit.
